John represents a broad array of parties who buy, sell, exchange, develop, lease, title insure or finance real estate.  For thirty years he has negotiated and prepared contracts and has represented parties in real estate-related litigation, arbitrations and mediations.  John represents lenders in the preparation of loan documents, advises on work-outs and conducts foreclosures.  He also has extensive experience representing contractors, owners and design professionals involved in construction and land development.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

• Represented numerous lenders on challenges to the validity and/or priority of their deeds of trust. 
• Successfully defended commercial property owner's right to use an access and parking easement on neighboring property, and defended a title insured owner against a claim that its purchase of an apartment complex should be rescinded. 
• Advises several community banks on the preparation of their commercial loan documents.
• Represents numerous clients on general contract drafting regarding diverse real estate and business matters.

John has been a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars involving real estate finance, real estate litigation, deed of trust foreclosure, and title insurance topics.
