Simon’s practice focuses on real estate, land use, and creditors’ rights matters. He represents a broad range of clients, including property owners, developers, lenders, homeowners and condominium associations, and businesses in transactions, entitlements, permitting, and dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Hanson Baker, Simon was a member of the land use practice group in a mid-sized Seattle firm where he advised clients on zoning analysis, entitlements, and permitting for commercial, retail, industrial, and mixed-use projects throughout Washington State. His practice has since expanded to encompass general real estate transactions, creditors’ rights, commercial leasing, and litigation.

Simon earned his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law, where he was a Washington State Scholar, a merit scholarship awarded to the top one percent of the applicant pool. During law school, he served as a Judicial Extern at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington, interned at OAC Services, Inc., externed with the University of Washington’s Federal Tax Clinic, and assisted low- and moderate-income clients through the Washington State Bar Association’s Moderate Means Program. He received his B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Washington.

Outside the office, Simon volunteers with the United Way’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, providing free tax filing assistance to low- and moderate-income individuals and families. He enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and following the Seahawks and Mariners.
